 A BRIEF INTRO...

Puppet-Stew is a small puppet theatre company based in West Central Scotland, about 20 miles north of Glasgow. Puppet-Stew was formed in 2002 by Donna Owens (Noona) after completing studies in Puppet Theatre Arts at the Scottish Mask and Puppet Centre.

 

Puppet-Stew provide fun, exciting, theraputic and inspirational puppet making workshops [indoor or outdoors], to  schools [mainstream, IEPs, special needs], community groups, festivals,  gala days, care centres, corporate events, school fairs, creches, young carers groups, wedding creches, adult and teenager 'break the ice' sessions and really, anywhere else that you can think of !

 

We also work outwith the medium of puppetry, drawing on a wealth of artistic methods.eg...murals, sculpture, installations, drama, music etc.

 It is our aim to offer you any kind of puppet making or art based workshop you can dream up.

Noona is a member of the Scottish Mask and Puppet Centre, British UNIMA, Equity and Puppeteers UK. 

Puppet-Stew have public liability of £10,000,000 through Equity.

 

Who's in the Stew? Donna Owens (Noona), founded Puppet-Stew in 2002, having completed the 2 year HND course, 'Puppet Theatre Arts' run by The Scottish Mask and Puppet Centre in Glasgow. Since then, she has delivered hundreds of workshops UK wide. Her strengths lie in helping participants find ways of expressing themselves through creativity. She has a fruitful working relationship with them,  based on mutual respect, and enjoys sharing their achievements.

 

. We are able to call on a pool of dedicated and enthusiastic puppeteers and craft workers in the delivery of large scale projects. All Puppet-Stew crew have valid Enhanced Disclosure for working with young people.
