Puppetry is recognized as an invaluable tool for helping children to learn. It is accessible to children of all age levels and abilities. Puppet workshops can be used to support class topic work, and to compliment general themes within the curriculum, or can be 'just for fun!' Puppetry workshops can be tailored to your individual needs. There are no boundaries when working with puppets; children are free to explore their imaginations and build wonderful, inspiring, and thought
provoking creations.
Who's in the Stew? Donna Owens (Noona), founded Puppet-Stew in 2002, having completed the 2 year HND course, 'Puppet Theatre Arts' run by The Scottish Mask and Puppet Centre in Glasgow. Since then, she has delivered hundreds of workshops in schools, museums, community centres, large and small scale festivals as well as being involved in various projects run by Giant Productions, Oyster Arts, Glasgow City Council, Artlink Central, Forest Enterprise and The Scottish Mask and Puppet Centre. Her strengths lie in helping children find ways of expressing themselves through creativity. She has a fruitful working relationship with children based on mutual respect, and enjoys sharing their achievements.
